Hot pockets are by far my favorite microwavable cheese and meat filled pastries. Although I have heard tales of varieties beyond my wildest dreams, my review is limited to those available at my local supermarket. For this review I decided to go with the wildly popular and easy to use clam ranking system (5 dancing clams being the best).

Ham & Cheddar - I'm a born again ham and cheddar fan. It went below the radar for a while, but upon trying them again I've discoverd what I've been missing.

Pepperoni Pizza - The classic hot pocket. This was the one to make hot pockets a household name.

Meatballs & Mozzarella - Whoever came up with these was just lazy. Taking two existing varieties, with half the filling of each. It just doesn't satisfy in ways a hot pocket should.

Cheddar & Broccoli - An okay attempt, but it's still lacking a certain spark.

Chicken Parmesan - My least favorite variety. Whoever came up with this should be fired.

Philly Steak & Cheese - My personal favorite choice of hot pockets. A lot of people don't seem to like this kind for some reaon. All the more for me I say.

Sausage & Pepperoni Pizza - Another example of mixing two existing varieties together. This comes out better than the the sausage and meatball abomination, but still ranks lower than pepperoni by itself.

In conclusion, Hot Pockets? brand sandwiches may be the closest thing to oral enlightenment. At a mere two minutes thirty seconds preperation time, you can't go wrong.

No you can not get sick from eating them cold. Everything in them is already precooked. You are simply warming it up when you "cook" it.

The Philly Cheesesteak one is awesome, and I love the Broccoli & Cheddar too.
