i use:
2 slices of wheat bread
2-3 slices of tillamook cheddar cheese (made in oregon)
some butter
wut you do is you butter the outside of the slices of bread then put the cheese between the two slices of bread (the non-buttered sides) then you take enough butter to coat the bottom of the pan and set the pan to LOW heat.
while the buttter is melting grab a pot lid big enought to cover the pan you are cooking with (this is important) when the pan is sufficiently heated and the butter has melted place the sandwich on the pan and cover with lid.
allow to cook for around 4 minutes, then check for doneness and flip, cook other side with lid on for the same amount of time. eat.
this is a good recipe because the cheese gets nice all gooey and drips out and it's really good. we used to have trouble with the cheese not melting so we cook them longer on a low heat instead. my mommy invented this recipe.
