IF you desperate:

Lian Li PC61 USB Black Anodized Aluminum Case = $169.99

Rectangle Window Kit = $14.99

120mm Blow Hole = $10.99

Enermax Whisper 430W Power Supply = $129.99

http://pcmods.com/details.asp?prodID=253

Change this to this:

ANTEC Mini Tower ATX Case Model SX635 with 350 Watt Power Supply - $79 from newegg and you dont need a 430W PSU

RheoBus, Version 2.0! Blue LEDs = $58.99

http://pcmods.com/details.asp?prodID=4

Lose this.

Rounded IDE cable, blue = $7.99

http://pcmods.com/details.asp?ProdID=308

Lose this and make your own (slice down the cable and wrap).

Rounded Single Device Floopy Cable, blue = $7.99

http://pcmods.com/details.asp?ProdID=312

Lose this. As above

Panaflo 120mm High Fan = $14.99

http://pcmods.com/details.asp?ProdID=103

Lose this.

Laser Cut Fan Grill, 120mm Biohazard = $19.99

http://pcmods.com/details.asp?ProdID=87

Lose this.

Cold Cathode Light Kit, Blue = $34.95

http://pcmods.com/details.asp?prodID=137

Lose this.

Asus A7V333 Motherboard with Athlon XP 2100.

Change MoBo to:

SOLTEK SL-75DRV5 (Purple Ray) VIA KT333 (the latest Ver.) DDR/SDRAM 266/200MHz FSB Socket A ATA 133/10/66 ABS II ATX MOTHERBOARD - RETAIL $98 NewEgg

Better (imo) than the ASUS and you gain ATA133 support.

Thermalright AX-7 Heatsink = $28.00

http://www.newegg.com/app....&DEPA=1

This is fine.

Delta 60x38mm Fan (for the heatsink) = $18.00

http://www.frozencpu.com/cgi-bin/frozencpu/fan-04.html

Lose this. A Heatsink fan for a heatsink fan, plz. Athlons dont run *that* hot.

Crucial Micron 512MB PC2100 DDR RAM (X2 = 1023MB) = $280.00

http://www.newegg.com/app....&DEPA=1

1GB RAM!! 1/2 this, 512MB is fine unless you are going to be h@xing up some 3D animaitons or shit like that.

Seagate Barracuda 80GB 7200RPM = $107.00

http://www.newegg.com/app....&DEPA=1

Change to:

MAXTOR 80GB 7200RPM Model # 6L080J4 - OEM, DRIVE ONLY D740X Series Ultra ATA 133 2mb Cache Buffer 8.5 ms Seek Time - 3 Year Manufacturer Warranty 80.0 gb 7200 rpm.

$110, just as good and has ATA133 as well.

Creative Labs Sound Blaster Live! 5.1 = $32.00

http://www.newegg.com/app....&DEPA=1

Change to:

VOYETRA TURTLE BEACH SANTA CRUZ - OEM PCI Sound Card with Digital Signal Processor for the Ultimate Listening Experience. Home theater surround sound. Create your own Music. Accelerates MP3, DVD, and Internet Audio. Mfg Part# TBS-3400-01

$58

Way better than the Creative

Enermax Whisper 430W Power Supply = $129.99

http://pcmods.com/details.asp?prodID=253

No need for this. The Antec case comes with one.

Lite On 52x Black Cd Rom = $32.00

http://www.newegg.com/app....&DEPA=1

Lose this and use the CD-Rw instead. Just as good.

Change the CD-r to a Mitsumi CR4809TE 24x12x40 Burnproof IDE Internal CD-RW Drive - Retail Boxed. Just as fast for burning but no idea of the price over there.

Change the floppy to the cheapest one you can find. They are all the same at the end of the day.

Change the logitec mouse to an MS Intellimouse.

'Aquire' XP ;p

The GFX card and NIC are fine.

Maybe change the monitor to a Sony one - but that is personal preference.

KTF, newegg.com doesn't ship to canada.

roadeh, everything looks good except for a couple things:

sound card: the creative cards are shitty, don't bother.  get the turtle beach santa cruz card.

operating system: xp home is shitty, go pro or don't go at all.  i might be able to do you a favor and get you xp pro full for like $30 (in unopened retail box) + shipping to canada but then again you put me on page 2 of the portals ;).

optical drives: instead of the plextor cd-rw get a lite-on, about half the price and pretty much even in performance, and drop an extra $10 for a dvd drive instead of the cd drive.
