Those fkn terrorists. It makes me feel really fucked up, especially because I stay in the middle-east. I just watched CNN and heard the emotional plea his wife was making to the terrorists... a heartwarming attempt.
work is over and you step out of your office to get to your car and out of nowhere BAM! you're abducted by a bunch of retarded ski-mask donning assfaces hiding behind the cover of religion, desecrating it into a scapegoat. You're being sacrificed for a war you have nothing to do with. shit... i try and imagine myself being that situation. Being in the middle-east, i now begin to understand why people who've settled or stayed here have been stereotyped into suicide-bombing crotcheaters.
I know that other issues go on around the world that perhaps I or other people don't know about. but where is all this shit heading (no pun) ?
I may sound al ike a moron who ignores the political aspects / bigger picture but this has really upset me.
I just had to get this off of my chest and a half.
edit: as you guys may or may not know... the head of the saudi Al Qaeda terrs has been shot dead, along with 3 other senior members of the group. GJ.

I feel bad for the family, but how many people will die just so we justifiy our invasion of a country? Tens? Hundreds? Thousands? We will never truly end terrorism, it will always be around, and taking the freedoms in our country is ridiculous. Just like our War on Drugs can never be stopped. I could just do the typical redneck post and say LETS NUKE THEIR ASS TO GLASS AND RIDE OUR HUMMERS OVER THE ALANTIC OCEAN SO WE HAVE A PARKING LOT THE SIZE OF IRAQ TO FUEL THEM UP!!!
ps. be safe angeldust!

Well I certainly think it was inevitable. The US never gives in to demands, no matter what.
I can't help but think some of these people who get captured brought it upon themselves. Going to to the middle east as a contractor is just as dangerous as traveling as a soldier. And when you're in a war enviroment, there's a lot of obvious dangers to be had. It was without a doubt a despicable act, but if you play with fire, you?re going to get burned.
I don't think these acts of violence solve anything. The people on both side of the fence will just use it to fuel their views. Some will look at this and say "JESUS BOMB THEM TO HELL AND BACK" and others might say, "Maybe we should pull out by now".
I don't think there's anything that wil change the minds of the people pulling these stunts. They try to make people believe there's some adgenda behind the beheading, but all they're really doing is proving they're the most ruthless people alive.

Yep I've been following the news since the beginning of the Middle east conflict in 2000 (Palestine area etc) and I've lost all faith in mankind from every side and every viewpoint full stop.

I don't know... It just seems to be getting worse and worse. The invasion does piss me off, but i'm happy that Sodom Hussain is finally out of his reign... he waged a war against Iran (where i'm halfly from) and Kuwait... and inevitably would have done some crazy stuff had the US not have stepped in... Oil or No Oil being the ulterior motive, ultimately, a reign of terror has ban dissolved. had it not been dissolved, i predict saddam woudl've eventually done something to terrorize the world... I agree with you, fighting against terrorism is indeed like fighting against drugs... no sign of an end to any of them anywhere...
i hope that none of us will ever be subjected to this kind of uncivilized garbage. :)

That's true... and they shouldn't give in to Terrorist demands and they didn't. had those prisoners been released then US would have to be up against a bigger jihad army.
You have a point to a certain extent about people bringing it upon themeselves by being in the middle east... but there is no war in saudi or any other place in the middle-east gulf, except for Iraq... the middle east wasn't really as bad as they had made it sound in the past up until the bombings that happened in khobar, Saudi last year... most of these countries rely alot on expatriates from other countries to help the country get better... , these terr's have succeeded at scaring off the people from saudi...
society in most of these places have mixed cultures and nationalities... its definitely a unique experience to grow up in a place like this (middle east generally)... it kinda feels like ;0 in that sense of its cultural diversity...
still... it's sad that Johnson had to die before the saudis eliminated the terr force.
