Notes :

Okay so i stayed in indonesia for a year and learned how to cook stuff. this simple recipe kept me full on nights when i'd be too broke or lazy to eat out. Hope you like it.

-----------------------------------------

Indonesian Fried Rice (Nasi Goreng)

Ingredients Required:

- Water : 1 cup

- Rice : 3 cups

- Eggs : 2 or 3 Grade A Eggs

- Chicken Hot Dogs : 6 (sliced)

- Soy Sauce : 1/3 cup (add more to taste)

- Oyster Sauce : 1/4 cup (add more to taste)

- Onions : 3/4 cup (sliced up)

- Garlic : 1/4 (smashed)

- Green Chilli : 2 pieces (sliced)*

- Oil : 1/2 cup

- Sesame Oil : 1/5 Cup

Steps :

1) Prepare the rice.

Basic Rice (if you know how to prepare rice, skip this step.):

1.1) Add 3 cups of rice

1.2) Add 4 cups of water

1.3) Boil for 30 minutes (or until cooked)

in the meantime, whip up a wok and pour in some cooking oil and wait for it to heat up.

2) Half-Fry the hot-dogs and just slice them and put them away for abit.

3) Toss in some crushed garlic and some cut up onions and some sliced green chilli, fry a bit untill theyre almost cooked.

4) Toss in the eggs and keep whipping it in the wok which should provide us with chunky small bits of eggs.

5) Now put in the rice and start mixing it with whats in the wok.

6) Toss in some oyster sauce (a spoonfull) along with some soysauce (to taste).

soy sauce is whats gonna add the flavor. add enough to brown the rice but dont drown the rice.

7) keep mixing it until it is cooked (should be about 10 minutes)

Now it should start smelling very fkn good. it should be ready, put out the fire and eat up.
