TI-89 is better if you actually use your calculator for mathematics and not as a disguised gameboy.

I have a TI-86 myself, which is slower than the 83, but has more useful functions and a better interface. ?The TI-89 is not permitted by many calculus teachers in my highschool because it is too damn powerful.

i have a ti-83+ b/c all my teachers nkow how to use them and so they can show us how to do whatever it is we need to learn on the calcs, but for the 3 kids that have 89's they can't do it. stick b/c the 83, it's just as good. :)

We are not allowed to use the TI-89/86 in our school because we have regulated calculators. And before a test they always make us wipe the memory clear, so I cant keep games on it anyways :(

I didnt pay for it, it came with my tuition.
