In my book, the OTF died August 2001. That was the point it got depressing in the sense most topics were no longer worth reading. There's still a good thread now and then, but it's mainly sifting through a sea of spam to find it. Also, I, as well as everyone else, keep getting banned all the time. This seems to be something done by the gamespy forum software, since no mod is claiming responsibility. Now they added a nice fucking add banner to take up 30% of the screen. It's just not worth my time to try so hard (not hard) to stay at a place I'm liking less and less. The OTF can't keep the retards out. Some 14-year-old on mommys computer can register 10 accounts and spam "+1" and "lol goatse" all day long. Here each account is manually processed before a person can post. If they spam or act childish, they are removed and will no longer be a problem to the forums.

I love semicolon-zero, everyone here is great. And we have full control over everything. People are free to post their opinons, thoughts, and ideas uncensored. I wish we had a few more people posting here as well. But like previously stated, most people on the OTF are more concerned with their postcount than quality discussion. Anyone is free to tell your friends to come join us here. There are some people who are registered here and at the OTF, but post much more at the OTF. The OTF does have more traffic, but it's not like people here will let your thread go without replying. :)

This forum will always be about quality and not quantity. If I had the option to take over the OTF in exchange for semicolon-zero, I would say no. I love the atmosphere and posts here. 170 people posting their true thoughts and ideas is much better than a 24,000 person forum of "+1" replies.

I have to agree with most of axe's sentiments.  THough I do not know how everyone keeps getting banned. I have yet to be banned once.

I must say say I found your sentiments rather touching, axe, and I oculdn't agree with you more.

I've noticed something as of late, ;0 has been more active. There are a lot of good threads, people are posting, and things have picked up.

we offer a personal service - we know everyone, as opposed to someone that runs the board and knows about 1 person, not that they even give a fuck about it... !

Although i've only started being a regular to ;0 and not the once off when I got bored of 'chillin' on quakenet, I find actually CHILLIN in semi' really cool. And just watchin what actually goes on around semicolon-zero is really cool like the competitions, free hosting and the PS creations. In the words of one grass eating shep: "Totally rox me"
