The ents council seemed rushed, but mebe thats because it seemed so long in the book

Rushing the council is a minor thing. What happened after that was just stupid:

1. Merry or Pippin outsmarted Fangorn [Edit: AKA Treebeard]with an idiotic excuse.

2. Treebeard declared a war at Isengaard in a sudden whim. A model definition of an out-of-character act.

3. The ents obeyed him without question - after having just argued about the war for Jackson-knows-how-long (days in the book).

About Faramir: although his character wasn't as strong-willed as in the book he still was able to give up the ring and was thus stronger-minded than his brother. I didn't like this change either but I see it as a minor flaw.

i didnt like gollum. it scared me, so like screwed up how his back was and stuff =\

it was also a change how grisn whatever his name (the bad orc) followed merry/pippin into forest instead of being owned by a rider. but that was all right.

So do you think this is one of those extremely rare movies in which the sequals are better than the first movie?

they filmed all 3 movies at the same time so if you liked the first there is a good chance you will like the other two

I loved it, I saw it on opening night..and even though we reserved tickets 2 months in advance..they decided to give out seat numbers in order of ticket pick up..and since my friend went the same day as teh movie..we all sat at the complete left side of teh screen...which sucked uber ass :(

I didn't really care for all the love shite..like the loves scene between Sam and Frodo...man..I didn't have to see that! (special dutch version u c ?) but seriously.. I really thought they'd fkn kiss eachother, holy shit!

I loved Gollum, well acted by a CGi poopet! :)

Aragon falling...yes, movie cliche crap, and to top it off, the moment he walks in the room, is in teh fkn trailer!!! so it wasn't that hard guessing (even if you can't forsee movie cliches :D)
