Dudes he hyped Noir. ITS A MISTAKE A MISTAKE A MISTAKE. Noir is paper thin and also SUPERBLY CRAPPY. WOW SHE SHOT 209138102983 BULLETS AND KILLED DOUBLE THE AMOUNT OF GUYS BUT 30982309480194019823089123 BULLETS AND 5 NUKES LATER AND SHE ISNT SCRATCHED WOOOOOOOOOOO SHE DOESNT EVEN HAVE SUPER POWERS. WOW ANOTHER FLASHBACK THANKS I NEEDED IT BECAUSE THIS IS ALMOST LIKE DBZ NOW MY FAVOURITE ANIME.

Dudes download episode 1 and 2 of Wolfs Rain and see what a good anime this could be. Also download Berserk because it makes me cum. Kare Kano is also worth a mention for the romantic comedy LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!! Trigun, Bebop and the rest are good viewing and come highly recommended. I would also recommend FLCL because we all know its a little KERAZY but cool. IM THE ANIME DUDER HERE WITH SHORTY STOP STEALING MY THUNDER.

I watched the first ep of Noir and was not really that impressed, I am aquirune the second and third right now. I will definitly look into the Wolfs Rain and Berserk.

You will love berserk ;(. It's fantasy/horror action. The series in all however is more an introduction into the manga but series 2 has supposedly been confirmed for production so the cliffhanger ending shouldnt matter too soon ;) It's got big swords and big fights and even bigger monster and you can read past the end of the series by aquiring the manga WHICH KICKS FUCKING ASS AND IS PROBABLY THE GREATEST THING I EVER READ. ALso you will love Trigun and COwboy Bebop Kindred ;]. Wolfs Rain from what I have see so far is set in the not to distant future where the world has been covered by a new ice age and wolfs have become exstinct. However there are secretly afew wolfs remaining who can take the human form and there is all sorts of intrigue (AND GUN FIGHTING) to go with it. It looks pretty amazing. Another anime I'm enjoying at the moment is Naruto by the creator of DBZ. Now the mention of DBZ sounds bad but this show is pretty funny and I like its style plus the fact it concerns NINJAS!!!!!!!! makes it top quality in my book. King of Bandit King is cool too because its an anime involving theiving pirates and shit which makes me cum :D:D:D:D. Saikano is an an anime pika would like but you may too. It means She the Ultimate Weapon and its got to do with this chick who is the ultimate weapon to defend a country. It's a love story as well so its pretty deep from what I have seen. Dragon Drive is a cool fun time anime that isnt really all that deep but has like a VR game tournament where the competitors fightwith draongs that they get createdfrom inside them so its pretty kicking rad. Any more recommendations just ask ;]

olol ranma 1/2 just owns everything, hands down.

BUT SERIOUSLY FOLKS:

as far as mecha anime goes, escaflowne (if you can count it as mecha...) is fairly good, if not a little girly/romanceish...evangelion simply rawks, (LOL RELIGIOUS INUENDO!!) and although short, madox 1 (or whatever its called) was pretty damn good.

my favorite anime series/ movies are as follows:

vampire hunter d (especially 2nd movie)

berserk

chinese ghost story

evangelion

ummm...all the lupin movies keke

shit, its been a long time since i watched any anime...mebe i should start again...

I didn't say Noir is flawless. Still, I remember only two scenes where Kirika seemed too invincible (standing still in a hail of bullets). With "KILLED DOUBLE THE AMOUNT OF GUYS" I suppose you mean the flashback where she kills those MIBs. Well, watch it again and listen more carefully. She fires three times but the two last shots are so close (BA-BANG) that it's easy to make the mistake you seem to have made.

I don't understand how you can see these things as such a large flaw and at the same time hype Berserk with Gatts "Hundred Man Slayer" (yep, the guy fought 100 men at the same time in melee and won :darkstar: ) as the main character. Flashbacks in Noir could have been cut down a bit, agreed. By the way, what did you think of the story in Noir which IMO is the most important thing? I disliked the last episode myself. Not because of the ending being what it is but because numerous small flaws - and few large ones - in the storyline in that episode.

I'll check Wolfs Rain, ?Kare Kano and FLCL. The others you mention I have watched and specially Trigun is excellent. If the baddies didn't feel like they were torn from kids' cartoons I'd rate it as my favourite. Thinking about the style in Trigun I suppose this is meant to be a continuous joke but it fails miserably and ruins the atmosphere in too many episodes. Although I rate Noir a bit above Berserk and Bebop they are certainly worth watching, too.

For some reason I can't get myself into enjoying mecha anime. Seeing machines weighing tons leaping around like acrobats and beating others with melee weapons makes me laugh out loud. Escaflowne seemed promising at first but in later episodes it escaped too far from reality ("fate changing machine", "luck genes", gene manipulation by changing the blood). The philosophical aspects in Evangelion are a nice addition but the ridiculousness of the mecha fights ruins the series for me.

Kindred: unfortunately I don't have it.
