OMG is it me or are outs really gonna be big this year? Recently I've rediscovered this wonderful foodstuff and have really begun to appreciate its beauty and have come to understand why Scottish people are so friendly despite the miserableness of their little province :) Gone are the days when flapjacks were something your gran made and porridge was for hairy men in skirts - OATS is for EVERYONE!

Here's how to make the bestest oaty foodproducts:

Porridge

1. Boil 2 mugs of liquid (water or milk recommended, any mix will work).

2. Chuck in a mug of oats. These can be obtained from all good supermarkets, and possibly your local Oatmerchant.

3. Turn down heat and simmer oat/liquid mix.

4. Until it's sticky.

5. Add sugar to taste. Or salt (if you're hairy and wear a skirt).

Flapjacks

1. Melt a big bit of butter in a pan.

2. Add golden syrup and oats.

3. (I think there was another ingredient.) Anyway stick the sticky stuff in a baking tray.

4. Bake!

Anyway that should keep your tastebuds orgasmic and your cholestrol in your pants for a little while :D
