OK, so my Mom's computer is crapping out so I am "donating" my computer to her in exchange for a new computer for myself.  I am trying to "budget" minded so everything is supposed to be the most bang for the buck.  I am keeping my video card (Radeon 64MB VIVO), nic (Linksys Fast Ethernet), floppy, and hard drive (Seagate 80GB 7200RPM).  Her floppy, nic (same kind), my old Voodoo3 3000, and my old Maxtor 20GB 7200RPM will move to her new (my old) computer.  Anyways, here is the list of stuff I am planning on ordering from www.newegg.com:

CPU:

AMD Athlon XP 1800+/266 FSB PROCESSOR CPU

$103

HEATSINK & FAN:

CPU FAN IGLOO 2300

$6

SOUND CARD:

VOYETRA TURTLE BEACH SANTA CRUZ

$58

MOTHERBOARD:

Asus VIA A7V333 KT333 Chipset ATX Motherboard

$120

RAM:

CRUCIAL 256MB PC 2100 DDR RAM (x2, 512MB TOTAL)

$94

CASE:

ANTEC Workstation Tower Model SX1030B

$88

CD BURNER:

Lite-On 32x12x40 CDRW

$70

DVD-ROM:

PIONEER 16X DVD SLOT LOAD

$45

TOTAL: $584 @ newegg.com

I will be running WindowXP Pro, does all of that sound compatible?  Will I need to order extra long IDE cables since the case is a full tower, or will the included cables be sufficient?

Thanks.
