I got some money to burn (26 dollars) and i was lookin into a new heatsink for my athlonxp2000, just wonderin what some of you guys would suggest.
CPU Coolers
A drill to put more holes in the case, lol. Seriously though THat what I did and then added mesh screen to the interior of the case to protect against dust. It reduced internal temp by 12 degrees Farenheit. Not that I really needed it, considering its Only a P2 400 and My house has central air and my pc sits right under the vent.
I use a Thermaltake VOLCANO 6CU+ High RPM, and it keeps my 1600 XP+ around ~45 degrees C, and 50 C at full load, in spite of the horrible ventilation in my case. Even so, it's a very decent heatsink/fan combo, if you don't mind the noise. If you do, get the regular RPM version, and blast off to sex city.
